Kiddies jumpsuit made out of a mans shirt

May 08, 2005 1 Replies

A friend said she saw a jumpsuit made out of a mans business shirt, she said the original collar was still intact but the rest of the shirt had been cut down to make the jumpsuit, she said she thought it might have been a Martha Stuart design or in one of her books, does any one know were I can get a pattern for a jumpsuit like this or any ideas how to make one. Thanks AJD

Try the Singer Sewing Reference Library: Quick and Easy Sewing Projects. On page 37 they have a project called Rompers from Secondhand Shirts. There are good, detailed instructions with pictures, as well as a chart showing what measurements to use for different size children.

This book has lots of other fun projects, too, and I feel that it's worth the money to buy it, but you can check to see if you local library carries it.

Good luck and have fun!
