Does anyone have a PDF or scan of the manual for a Jones Model 152 sewing machine.
looks similar to the model 1781 but may be slightly more modern. It's an old machine, it was given to me, and still works, but I need the manual to sort out threading and tension.

Are right, model number 1781, not manufacturing year :)
Probably from the mid 1980's.
They were bought by Brother in the late sixties but still traded as Jones right up until late. But all record of the brand other than it's vintage history seems to have vanished.
