nother new kilt

Apparently

The last I read, the ruling is under appeal. Again.

Well, taken literally, there are no "native" Europeans, Asians, Australians. I think many scientists believe that humans migrated _from_ Africa _to_ every-where-else. :-|

But it also took a press well, so that it looked more like handkerchief linen, right? If it's the same stuff I remember from my nun-overpopulated childhood!

But still sexy! ;P And with a Yorkshire accent...

That's quite uncanny. Mind you, there was an episode of 'Meet the Ancestors' a while back, where they did a reconstruction of a skull found in an old Saxon cemetery, and when they showed the face to the people still living in the village, it bore a similar likeness to one of them. Looked like his family had lived in the same small part of the country for over 1000 years. The skeleton and the living man were even much the same height and build.

Oh, yes: wherever there are nuns in trad habits, there's nun's veiling.

Absolutely. The out of Africa theory has alot of evidence going for it. They've even reconstructed the landmasses, climates and think they've managed to trace the migration routes. Interestingly, every Amerind tribe has legends of "the people that came before" and the Anasazi are just one of the "Elder People". Given how fiddle-footed Celts have always been it wouldn't surprise me in the least if some found their way to North America in ancient times. Evidence puts them in Asia so it isn't a long reach.

I *beg* your pardon! *I'm* native to America, and so are most of my acquaintances!

Last time I checked, I was human.

Aw Joy. I mean no species of human originated in North America, or any of the Americas for that matter. The earliest we know anything about were the ancestors of todays Amerinds, who migrated across the Bering Landbridge from Asia, and even they have legends about others that came before them. Those of us born here may be native but our species is not. We're kinda like rabbits in Australia
