Pattern tissue

I have a newsprint end-roll. I have been using this by laying the pattern over the newsprint on a soft surface pin-board and putting pins through (rather than using carbon paper which I loathe). It does work, but I find the tiny folds I have to make sometimes and then smooth out to zero a bit difficult with this type of paper. But it's not impossible, and thank you for the tip about filing patterns in a file folder inside a filing cabinet.

The next trick will be to persuade the husband to give up some of what he regards as his "precious" filing space!

I have just received the Fast Fit (Sandra Betzina) book from the US. It took 9 weeks to get here! I should have ordered it through Amazon rather than Taunton Press, because I never have to wait longer than 10 days for stuff from Amazon to arrive - and the postage costs are the same!

I find her instructions clear, precise and very easy to understand. And best of all, she has three sections devoted to my peculiar figure problems! I mean, three! I can't wait to cut and slash and make prefits ...

Don't assume malice for what stupidity can explain.

I know what canary paper is, and it is as it was described: second sheets, to make copies of letters you sent out that you wanted to keep a record of. It was used with carbon paper and sometimes you made several copies that way. It was yellow and lighter weight. When typed on you could almost see through it. It was shiny on the front and soft feeling on the back.

See! Depends on how old you are. B-)
