Is there any way I can match the the fabric design on this A line skirt:>

Thanks, I was thinking that,but unsure of myself so I figured I'd check with you. I think it will make up to be a pretty A line and a bit more flattering than a gather. I want to get enough done before the weekend so that I can measure my DD for the hem. Juno
You then know how much I've been agonizing over what to. DH laughs and tells me I'm getting too picky. DD says she's sorry she's causing so much trouble. I keep telling her it's not trouble it's from her, it's trouble from me, wanting things to look really good.

Juno, I would think the only place you would achieve a pattern match on a four gore a line skirt is the CF and CB seams, if they are perfectly straight for their whole length. May be worth trying, maybe not! I think as Beverly says, getting it all lined up horizontally is a good plan.
Sarah (finally finding a tiny bit more time to sew)
Thanks for your input Sarah. I think I'll go just for the horizontal match and forget the vertical match.. The pattern is a very definite A line and no matter how I looked at it I just couldn't see those side seams lining up vertically. I wanted to be sure I wasn't missing anything. She wants to wear it with boots and I think the pattern I'm using will look best without a center seam. All any of us need is more time. Glad you found some to sew. Juno

The pattern calls for two pieces of fabric, presumably an "A" line? I don't think I'd make much of an effort, because no matter what you do it's going to be unaligned somewhere along the seams. I WOULD be sure the *horizontal* design lined up, but nothing would tempt me to try to match each of the little critters along the sides. ;-}
