We're putting up a new Christmas display this year. We want to put some fabric banners up. We'd like to have metallic fabrics if we can. Which fabrics will hold up to wind and weather, and what kind of stores carry them? Should we look for simple canvas? Should we treat the fabrics with anything? Thanks.

Ripstop nylon is waterproof, light and cheap and available in many, many colours - but not metallic. Have you thought about spraying with paint? Car paint will work and it's readily available.
