v-neck help

I'm making a very simple camisole of woven cotton cut on the bias (yes, i'm attempting bias again!) The instructions say to "narrow hem" around the neckline and armholes, or make a facing. I would like to try the hem, turning under 1/4" then turning it under again and stitch. However, the front of the camisole dips to a slight "V" and i'm not sure how to do the point. It's the basic camisole from Kwik Sew's Beautiful Lingerie book. I'm very disappointed with their instructions, as a beginner, since i need to go step by step instead of skipping around the book searching for each instruction. I confuse easily, and wish i had someone to just SHOW me! Thanks for any suggestions.

There's more than one way to do this, but if it were me: 1. Stay stitch .5" at the hem line around the neck and armholes (only because the bias stretches). 2. cut the V to the staystitching not past 3. proceed with the folding 1/4" and press, fold again, press (your staystitching should be right at the edge). 4. sew the hem start at a side seam or back pivoting with needle down at the V point HTH Michelle- Put the RD "Complete book of Sewing"- has everything in there with lots of diagrams
