Well I just started preparations for my holiday greetings. This morning I have been cutting away at paper. Every year I collect 'sample paper' from the various paper companies. Since they usually come in some kind of binders I need to cut off the spiral holes or staple ends. But these samples are perfect for so many things. I also was able to get a good assortment of satin envelopes to go with them so the paper is cut to fit the envelopes. Once a year our local paper supply warehouse holds and Open House where many of the vendors from the various paper companies come with their samples and a great deal of information on their various products. I have not had to buy any sticker papers for years and I have them in every color of the rainbow including metallic colors. I also have a number of nice card stock metallic papers too. A good amount of these will find their way embossed into my cards this season. Now I just have to decide which stamps and such to use. That point of design is still rolling around in my brain. As much as I love my stamps I love just as much deciding on the paper or just feeling the various papers that I have to work with. Now I wonder what you all here think or do about various papers that you use. How do you decide on just the right papers to use in a composition... whether it be a greeting card or another paper made composition. julia
