some of my cards

If anyone is interested, I put a few cards up on yahoo for everyone to view. (If there's anything on the inside of the card, I put both inside and outside in the same picture).

Thanks for sharing. On the elephant in the baby card, did you stamp that on a paper towel? It really gives it a soft look, great for the theme :)

It's actually not a stamp at all! I couldn't find a "baby" stamp I liked. Even the local stamp store had a lousy selection. I remembered charts of small baby animals in an old cross-stitch magazine issue, so I dug the magazine out and cross-stitched the elephant on white aida cloth with DMC embroidery floss. Not as quick as stamping, but you are right, it gave a nice color image with a soft look, and turned out to be one of my favorite cards of all that I've made.

It does count as a stamped card, though. The "congratulations" is stamped in petal pink VersaColor ink (Tsukineko) and embossed with clear embossing powder.

What do you mean, 'my work isn't nearly as wonderful as yours'? Your work is fabulous!! I love all of the cards! Lots of ideas in my head now - I seem to have trouble coming up with masculine cards, and you've got some great ones on the site.

Are the pelicans and croc stamps, or did you draw those yourself?

Thank you Barbara! I may just be too hard on myself....I just look at everyone else's work and think, "wow! I wish I could do that!" The croc and pelicans are stamps, I bought the croc at either Hobby Lobby or Michael's and the pelicans I got in a grab bag from Viva Las Vegas Rubber stamps. I have to come up with masculine cards because we have so many men in the family and not very many women.....
