This may not be the right area to look for a specific pattern, and if not, please direct me to the right area. Years ago I knitted stocking caps for my nephews that were a fish head with long body and tail.
Does anyone remember such a pattern?

Those sound like fun! Was the fish 'eating' your head? That would appeal to my twisted mind... ;)
Not really seen any quite like that, but there are a few fun animal hat patterns to be found...
