anyone interested in a custom job?

My landlord is looking for about 10 replacement stair spindles, and I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a little bit of paid work. These would be about 20-24" long, and painted so wood type doesn't matter. Pattern should be pretty close to existing spindles, but doesn't have to be perfect. Job is in central New York, or an example spindle could be mailed if you're interested but not local. I've done some other small woodworking jobs for him, and he's very easygoing and happy to pay $15 per hour plus materials, but that might be negotiable. (Disclaimer - I'm a woodworker, but not a turner, so let me know if this just isn't reasonable...) Thanks, Andy

I might be interested. I've done spindles for chaps in the US before and it all worked out very well. What sort of time frame are we talking about? If you want, send me a personal email off the list so we can talk.

I have an export license so I can ship north of the Red River. Send email picture. Suspect freight costs about $30. See my site for details. Two things a Texan fears the most, a tornado and a Yankee with a UHaul.

Hello Art,

Did you all get hit with that recent ice storm? We got a light coating on the trees and elevated roadways, but it was light. I heard that DFW has 600+ accidents the day of the ice storm. :-o
