I am considering purchasing and installing a VFD on my griz 0462.

I know I will need a new 220v 3 phase motor. I will need a vfd and controller for the new motor. I will need to provide a mounting and pulley for the motor and spinde shaft. My goal is to reduce the low end speed, and eliminate the vibrations caused by the reeves drive. and spend as few $ as possible, I'm thinking around $400- $500 My questions are as follows: 1. Is there a kit with motor, vfq and controller out there? 2. Are VFQ's available with built in controlers and are they more expensive than buying seperately? 3. What rpms and HP would you recomend for the motor? 4. Does anyone who has done this with a lathe have any tips or suggestions for me?
- Is this a wise way to go about achieving variable speed?
- Any supplier suggestions? (I would like to do one stop shopping.) Thanks for you help Wayne K Columbia MD
