speed. I am looking at purchasing the PSI Turncrafter Pro VS.

use a duplicator for this? I am fine with the slimline type pens, but when doing the ones that are curved, I find that no two are exactly the same an d sometimes end up a little thin at the ends.

Hello Ted,

Personally, I have never cared for duplicators. They generally will not provide the fine detail that one sometimes wishes to put on an object and the ones that I've had experience with were a bit fiddle. I would recommend that you make yourself a pattern of what you are wanting to turn and mount it behind the rotating wood. This then gives you something to compare what you are turning. I've found this to be much better than using a duplicator. It also gives you better control without having to fiddle with adjustments, etc. on a duplicator.

Unless your selling your pens for $10 or$15 one of the things that give a handmade pen VALUE is the fact that no 2 are alike. There is something different about each and everyone.
