How to align cutter on Oneway Coring Tool

I recently purchased the Oneway Coring system (three smallest cutters only) and had difficulty with the first core I tried to make. It might have been the fact that I was coring Ambrosia Maple (with lots of figuring), or it may have been the cutter adjustment; regardless, I had several severe catches that actually stalled the Oneway 1640 I'm working on. Because the only instructions furnished is a video (grainy, at best) I couldn't discern where the demonstrator lined the cutter up. I have the "new style" cutters that have a tooth at the front, BTW.

Question: what is lined up at centerline...the tip of the tooth or the front surface of the "main" cutter?

Any help and/or additional tips are appreciated!

Hi Walt,

I have also recently purchased the Oneway coring system (knifes 1-3). I used it only once so far on my Oneway lathe (a 2436 with a 3 HP motor) to core a piece of black walnut. It was easy to use and worked very well. I set the cutter (new style) so that the top is at centerline.
