I am musing about doing something with discarded ice skate blades. My son plays hockey and replaces his skates about every season. I was about to throw away his old skates when I noticed the quality of the steel blades. At first I thought about using these blades as furniture scrappers. I wonder if someone has done other tools with this type and configuration of steel blade?

Hi Dennis Yes I have a friend who makes cutters for Steward and other hollowing tools from wood planer blades, you could possibly make them from the skate blades as well, just go and try, what are you to loose ???
