Is there a metal version of this NG?

I'm looking for a group or newsgroup of people who use small / tabletop / hobbyist lathes for turning small metal components. I've tried just about every machining term I can think of, and this is the only NG that comes up.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

rec.crafts.metalworking is pretty general and has a lot of off topic flame wars, but that might be just your thing.

yahoo groups tend to be much more focused. one of these may work for you:

The Sherline group on yahoogroups is a very good and active one--

There used to be at least one Yahoo group dedicated to little metalworking lathes. Try some of the brand names as well as turning and other obvious keywords. Sorry I can't be specific. It was tangential to my interests, so I didn't keep notes.
