You suck. You guys got all the good ones, and left the knife wielding meth addicts and drunkard psycho politician/preacher daughters for me to pick from. Pass. :-/

I've seen pictures of this odd cutter, and am curious about it. Post a follow-up and let us know how it works, and how it is sharpened.

Ho, Ho, Ho, Mac.

Not really, Mac. Works like a gouge, only the flute's 90 degrees out. Lay it into the wood as you would a Termite and you'll notice the only real difference is the shaving won't go through the loop, but curl back into the turning.

The thing's really a metal-cutting tool. Played with several different shapes a number of years back which my machine-shop fire Lt gave me to try at the end of my Stewart tools. Makes a nice surface, as did its gutterless cousin the Sorby shear scraper, but as a hollowing tool it is hampered by the lack of shaving ejection. I used them only after hollowing with the pointy gouge, so as not to have to stop and clear the cavity so often.
