I don't know. Seems very expensive for a fairly basic lathe. Yes 6 feet. But only 12 inch swing. Old time spindle lathe. 4 pulleys so not variabl e speed. And the 3/4 hp motor is three phase. So almost everyone buying t his lathe will have to buy a new motor for it instantly. Or buy a VFD to p ower the three phase motor. The Oliver name is really the only positive ab out this lathe. 6 foot length is nice if you need that. But it seems way too high priced.

basic might be in the eye of the beholder
could see a production shop putting it to good use if they do balusters and columns
saw a nice technique where two sections of wood are glued up with newspaper in betweeen
then the spindle is turned and the pieces are separated and attached to faces of cabinets and shelves etc
for a hobbiest it might not be a good buy due to 12 inch swing
high quality vfd for 3 phase is only 150 bucks
price is always an interesting topic and also in the eye of the beholder
and sometimes sellers love their stuff so much they price it too high and never sells so deep down they are happy
but prices on craigslist are downwardly mobile
