pen blanks?

How positive are your experiences buying pen blanks on e-bay?

I get good traction from a place called "The Rivers Edge Exotics" but I've also bought from a couple other vendors. T.R.E.E. has an eBay store and has been in business at least a couple of years. TREE often has stuff that simply isn't readily found elsewhere ... like awesomely curly hickory. I bought a box of 100 curly hickory blanks from him & his wife and they finished filling the box with some awesome curly maple. Yep ... both were just fantastic ... the equal of 'exhibition grade' curly koa but in a blond wood.

I can also recommend Woodturningz.com as a supplier. The do not, to my knowledge, sell on eBay, but they have a good variety of very nice stock at close to eBay prices.

Hi Jeremy

No I have no e-bay experience, but the pen turners forum would be a better place to ask this and other pen turning questions, there are a lot more pen turners than over here IMO.
