pressure pump, anyone?

as some of you know, I sell surplus vacuum pumps - one of these turned out to be unsuitable due to internal wear, but it makes a fine pressure pump that can drive a small air carver or an air brush, etc. 1/3 hp GAST brand, dual wobble piston, mounted on a tray with a nice muffin fan - see my web page below and navigate to forsale/vacuum pumps - it looks identical to the ones for $85 (because it is one of those) - $45 will cover this one - the "good" ones pull 22 to 27 inches of vacuum, this one pulls 11. The reason is some scoring of the piston walls. This scoring does not affect its ability to make 60 psi air though. Note that if you use this as a pressure pump, you will want to either provide a relief valve set to about 45 to 55 pounds, or a cutoff to stop the motor when your tank (for example, an old propene or freon cylinder) gets up to pressure, otherwise the back pressure will eventually stall the motor.

If interested, contact me off the list using the instructions below for "reply to" - do not reply to this note because I use an invalid address in the header to reduce spam (and yes, it seems to help).
