I am turning a 4"x4" box from this. It is like rock. Any other characteristics of note. I enjoy keeping up with wood. Like what color will it turn with oil finish.

It may have some very nice quilting - especially around the base and under the branches and crotches - I made 2 very nice vases from it about a year ago and was blown away by the figure - it was amazing! I hope yours turns out as nice
