Resistance is futile

Started woodworking as a hobby 3 years ago. Equiped a full home workshop minus lathe. Did not like turned object, did not want a lathe. Built a farm table for a friend 9 months ago and needed to buy turned legs. I did not like to have to admit buying the legs. Started looking into a lath to turn legs. Did not like bowls... Bought a lathe 2 months ago... have not used any other tools from the workshop since... Now I am turning bowls. Can't stop. I am now part of the borg. Help :)

You might as well get your fix, the addiction is a strong one...

3 months after I turned a little round box out of firewood for the wife, I couldn't even find my flat work tools because they were buried in bowls, blanks, turning tools, etc...

One thing that you'll notice about turning is the "wow" factor... I could work for a couple of nights on a nice picture frame or something... get nice joint, be happy with the finish, etc... and folks would say "that's nice" and walk on.. OTOH, I can throw a chunk of scrap on the lathe and turn a little dish that's done including finish in an hour, and they can't put it down.. lol

We know that, Darrell... the good news is that it's not about turning, so it might be curable.. *g*

Glue? A little spit and a lot of friction polish will hold it.. *g*
