tool plans

anybody have some plans for some tools? so far on the list: hexagonal skew(im hoping it will make it less catchy)

oland tool: tip shapes/sizes sugestions appreciated, thinking of turning down teh back end to make it fit in a smaller hole and be stronger

scrapers: patterns, pictures anything

somebody suggested I make a fluteless gouge, a picture/description would be greatly appreciated

tool and holder for a termite ring tool, thinking of making the head articulated like the glaser one. any suggestions as to length of bar to make it out of, the measurements of the glaser tool would be greatly appreciated

also handle wood/length suggestions appreciated

texturing tool: styles, uses, patterns or ideas

thanks for any answeres

Spend the time you would spend on making this one practicing with a skew

- it will have a better effect on the frequency of catches than fiddling with the shape of the shank of the skew ever will.

Well, that would be an Oland tool. As far as I recall, Darrell has some info/pictures up on his site. Doesn't really make any difference to the way the tool works whether it's a tool bit stuck in a handle, or a whole piece of tool steel with the same shape ground on the end.
