I buy the 4 1/2" x 10 yd rolls of Stearate Kling-on (Hook & Loop) Rolls from Klingspor. They are offered in 80, 100, 120, 150, 180, 220, 320 and 400 grit. I cut my own 3" circles from this and it saves a ton of money over buying the disks. The down side is that you initial outlay is a bit steep -- they are about $16.00/roll when you buy more than one.
In the paper catalog look around page 68. On the web site it seems impossible to find the items.
Call at 800 872 2005. The product ids are KR3xxx where xxx is the grit except for 400 grit where, for some odd reason, it is KR48422.
This supply will last you several years and I believe it is the cheapest way to get good h/l paper.

Yep, I looked at their web site and it seems that the product codes are different from the catalog. It looked like pretty much of a jumble to me. I tried their search and such but still could not get a reasonable result. I'd just call -- it's their nickel.

Look under roll abrasives, to get more info, click on the pictures. The PS33 series is their stearated material Here's the link - watch out for wrapping
I think that the velco backed sp is an idea who's time has come. I'm supprised that it is not more widely available. I'd like to see it for sale in the borgs and such :). The distributors are a bit slow off the mark,eh what? Cheers, Tom
