Seamgallery a private project of Sima Sela , The leading Fiberart Gallery in Israel , opens it`s 100th exhibition, in 13 years. The 10oth exhibition , is dedicated to the Seam =Tefer [tefer is the Hebrew word for Seam]. the most Basic practice of Embroidery , sewing . 50 artists were invited to express themselves about this Term , The works are very interesting , every artist approached the term with his/her own meaning /feeling about this term. Seam is a loaded word , it has not only textilic connections , but is used in Geology , in politics , in fruits and loans itself to many various meanings. Many fiberartis who are now mainstrem artists, started in this gallery. The public has learned to apprcitae the quality of the exhibitions and openings attract always more that 200 people and mostly many more. Than during the time the exhibtion is open it usually attracts up to 700-800 [and some times more] people which is remarkable since the gallery isn`t in a big city .
