BRINGING IN THE WOOD 2003
Colville Arts Foundation, a non-profit organization in Colville, Washington presents its 2nd Annual "Bringing in the Wood" Exhibit, Conference, and Workshops from November 4, 2003 to December 6, 2003. wORK FROM ARTISTS RESIDING IN WASHINGTON, WYOMING, MONTANA, IDAHO, UTAH AND OREGON IS ACCEPTABLE.
THEME:
3D/2D original artwork is acceptable. Photography, painting, and sculpture with a ?wood' theme is acceptable, as well as wood carvings, wood furniture, and sculpture created with over 50% wood. Work must have been created within last three years. BEST OF SHOW, BEST WOODCARVING, and BEST WOOD FURNITURE will be awarded. Peter Griesman, Master Woodworker and Doug Harris, Master Woodworker, Judges.
DIMENSIONS: No work may exceed 72" in any direction or be over 75 pounds in weight except if delivered and picked up personally. We will refuse shipment of art that is heavier than 75 lbs.
FEES: There is a fee of $5.00 per entry/per slide. Artwork submitted must be represented by 35mm slides. Only 35mm slides will be accepted -- up to
5 slides may be submitted, or $25.00. Please make check or money order out to: Colville Arts Foundation, PO Box 375, Colville WA 99114. SLIDES: Each slide MUST include artist's name, title of work (if untitled, please number), media, and dimensions of work. Indicate top of work on slides of abstract work. Self-addressed stamped envelope must be included with sufficient postage for the return of slides. CAF will not return slides without SASE.
POSTMARK DEADLINE: Entries must be postmarked by the September 27th deadline. Please include price of work or NFS, date of work, and medium(s) in your entry information. ACCEPTANCE: Artists will be notified of accepted works by US postal mail no later than October 15, 2003.
Accepted works must be shipped to arrive at the gallery no later than Wednesday, October 29, 2003. Each exhibitor is responsible for shipping work to the gallery, and appropriate packaging and postage must be included. Colville Arts Foundation is not responsible for poor packaging, loss of slides, loss of art, or other materials. Exhibitor is responsible for insurance of artwork, Colville Arts Foundation holds only liability insurance.
EXHIBITION DATES: Exhibit will open November 4th, and run through December 6, 2003.
SPACE: The CAF gallery has approximately 518 sq ft of wall space and 400 sq ft of floor space. The gallery has two window spaces facing out onto Heritage Court in downtown Colville.
Colville Arts Foundation Regional Gallery is non-profit organization. CAF will make available a list to parties interested in acquiring works on display.
