Questions:

Will the guild supplement the entry fee to pay for fabric and prizes?

We need judges Ask at local quilt shops? Other guilds? Museum curators?

Can the challenge be combined with a holiday party/quilt show where our spouses and friends can attend? We could also sell more raffle- quilt tickets at the event.

Need a way to hang the quilts Quilt racks - where to rent/borrow?

This statement needs clarification. Perimeter is generally defined as the distance around the outside of the quilt -- 2 times the length + 2 times the width; a 50" square has a perimeter of 200 inches. You described it as one length + one width is only half the perimeter; a

100" square would meet that definition. What do you really want?

Maybe you should mention how the entries will be returned? Not sure what is customary, but you might consider some sort of receipt that would have to be presented. People who sold a quilt could turn the receipt over to the purchaser, with their signature to confirm the sale.

Exhibit with a party is a great idea, good way to sell lots of tickets. Do consider the safety of the quilts if they are hanging in a room where people might be walking around with drinks. Roberta in D

Thanks, I will correct #9. I was working on the rules with another guild member, but I'm ending up doing all the work. My silent guild partner is also invisible.

in which case ya might wanna add an 'nb' at the end of the challenge rules to the effect that 'as you did these rules on your own.....' i'd not cope at all if i had a silent and invisible partner with something like that. someone is bound to find sumpin that they dont 'get' and they can only come running to you for clarification. if that partner would just pull finger and make a showing it would halve the load of responsibility. i'd not be keep'n quiet, i'd be calling her and inviting myself over to her house for morning/arvo tea to work thru the whole thing together, whether she liked it or not. you're far too 'nice' in my opinion. good luck, jeanne
