Guild Challenge Results

That's really something, Alice. I can see how some would have thrown their hands up and backed away quietly. Sometimes I can persuade myself that using a sort of muddy, ugly print would give a quilt a much needed resting spot but I just don't know what in the world I'd do using that challenge fabric. Polly

You're right -- the results are amazing. :) That challenge fabric would have been enough to make me think twice -- or three times -- before using it. But they did a wonderful job. I noticed that one of them did a Jenny Rayment "Twitch Twiddle and Tweak" quilt! :)

I really love the flower one and the star burst one is great too. Probably would have challenged me as well.

Yes, I did. I wasn't a winner, but I like the tote bag that I made from a "Lazy Girl" pattern. You can see it in "My Shoebox" in Webshots.

The flower quilt used the focus fabric in the pom-pom type flowers. They were made using a ruching technique and were very 3 dimensional.

The focus fabric was the fabric used on Sunbonnet Sue's hatband. It did have coral and turquoise in it...among other colors!
