guild show winner pics

We're all finished with our guild show. This year we had a judge for the first time. There were too many ribbon winners to post all of them, but these are ones -- 1st places and special ribbons -- in this album:

Well, what a surprise to see a ribbon-winning quilt that makes me laugh out loud. The Falling Blocks really tickles me. That's a delightful quilt. Thank you, Susan. Polly

Love them all but favorites are "Tropical Sundance" and "Falling Blocks". Thanks for sharing.

Susan, if those quilts are indicative of the quilts in the show, you have some very talented quilters there! I love the Viewer's Choice and the blue appliquéed quilt.

They're beautiful Susan. What a talented bunch. I, too, love the Falling Blocks but also the Faux Flo Blue - it's gorgeous. . In message , kratersge writes

Susan, I'm a fairly new member here. I'm in Roanoke. Are you? I went to the show and loved the Falling Blocks quilt. Which quilt did the attendees of the show vote as their top choice? My husband and I voted for #20. It was made up of 1" blocks.

Yes I am in Roanoke :-)

Viewer's Choice was #16; Fanfare, Joyce Moorman's gold/black fan quilt with metallic gold quilting. The picture is the 3rd one in the album; but it doesn't really do the quilt justice.
