ribbon bragging

I did my first "exhibit babysitter" shift at the local fair yesterday, and found great ribbons pinned to my entries.



Best in Show for my celtic knot, plus some special ribbon



1st in wallhanging for my Blue Willow, plus some special ribbon
3rd in "machine quilted by maker" for my stashy Irish Chain

I can't remember which special ribbons -- they all blur -- champion, reserve champion, director's award. I can't ever really tell what they mean. Presumably, the "champion" ribbons are for the runners up for best in show, but I've seen them on the best in show, so that's not it.

Wow, Susan. Isn't it wonderful when the judges have the good judgment to award the ribbons to us? Congratulations. Happy Dancing for you. I can't get the Blue Celtic quilt to appear but I'm certain it's a treasure too. Polly

Congratulations on some well-deserved awards! Your work is always beautiful and so well done, and I don't think I would ever tire of looking at that gorgeous Blue Celtic! It's definitely one of my all time favorites. I'm so glad to know the judges agree with me. :)
