Ugly fabric guild challenge.

I have started working on my ugly fabric challenge. We were supposed to put our ugly fabric in a bag and not know what they look like and exchange them with another guild member. Well, I missed that meeting so the lady in charge of it told me just to work with the fabrics I have. Thanks to many of you I have have some really ugly fabric. There is fabri with log cabins and bears in a horizontal print, another is lions and lambs like a church picture all over print, black with bright green leaves in rows with bright flowers, a conrtry rooster print in red, white yellow and black, and some other uglies. I kept thinking what could I make with these that would be something I would use. I have to have it done by our June dinner. I have been putting it off because I couldn't figure out what to make. I have started making an ugly apron. I can always use an apron. Also, I will think about my friends on here that sent me the fabrics when I wear it. Thanks everyone!

Most- and note I said *most*- ugly fabrics are more acceptable when cut into small pieces so the print is lost and you only see the colors and movement of the print. Think something like New York Beauty blocks where the uglies are used for the narrow sharp spike pieces. Good luck with your ugly project.

Another possibility is to overdye it. I've used Setacolors for transforming smaller pieces of uglies.
