Challenge results

Thursday evening was our guild's challenge -- the one for which I made one of our Pat on the Hill's designs (it's this one ). I knew right away that I wanted to make this, so it's been finished since April. Anyway, we had the voting on Thursday, and my quilt placed third in the pieced category! :D I now have a lovely gift certificate to spend at my LQS, and I think I know already what I'm going to be looking at.

Thanks, Pat, for a beautiful design! :D

Omigosh, Sandy! That is beautiful! Many congrats on your win! There must have been some very steep competition for you to have placed third. It looks like a first place quilt to me!

Enjoy that gift certificate. :-)

Thanks, Michelle! The competition was actually pretty steep. A good friend of mine took first place, so I was delighted for her. :)

Well. Let's see. What can I do to be reasonable about your beautiful creation getting 3rd place? Putting my 'all huffy' attititude aside, I know! I hereby award you Viewer's Choice. No matter what the competition, you're the winner with us. Wow. That is just gorgeous. So there. Polly

That's great Sandy! Well done. It's such a lovely interpretation of the design. What a lovely colour to choose to go with the black and white. So glad you got a worthwhile prize. . In message , Sandy writes

I really doubt that a FQ could begin to "repay" Pat for her generosity in sharing these patterns in her book -- or, for that matter, for her generosity in sharing her knowledge and expertise on a myriad of subjects on this list! :)

Thanks, Pat! I just love that pattern. The moment I saw it, I knew I had to make it, and the challenge was just perfect for it. I'm taking a break right now, but soon I'll have to start thinking about the next challenge, which has some "interesting" fabrics required.

Sandy, that's really sweet, thank you. Not entirely deserved I know, but I try when I can! . In message , Sandy writes
