Early Start to the NOVEMBER 2005 Challenge

Because there is a component of the challenge that must be done by the end of October, I am posting the November Challenge today. As I often do, the theme of the work you do is strictly up to you. This allows you to do pages that you need or want to do while still being able to participate in the challenge. Thanks to Cathy R for urging me to do this!

NOVEMBER CHALLENGE Create as many things as you can from a single kit! There are two steps to this challenge. The first completed by the end of October is to assemble and show us your kit. (If you can't take a picture, you can post a list of every item that you are using including their size and shape). The second is to make as many items as you can from that single kit. This is a great time to do this challenge as you can create some of your Christmas gifts in the process.

Your kit must be created from your current stash (you can however buy things like paint cans or containers). Each kit must have:

Two sheets of identical 12x12 printed paper, One sheet of 12x12 One more sheet of 12x12 printed paper that coordinates with but is different from the first three. Two pieces of matching colored card stock. One sheet of white or beige cardstock (you need this for inside cards or journalling) One sheet of letter stickers. (Die cut letters may be used as a substitute) Up to 15 other stickers (they may be 3-d or flat) One 24" piece of ribbon. One 24" piece of hemp or cord

4 tags of any size. 10 brads/eyelets

Once you have assembled your kit please take a picture of it and post it. Kits should be posted by October 31st and then worked on in November. Finished projects should be shared with the group by the last day of November.

Post to this topic if this is a challenge you may want to do. It's always fun to hear what people are planning!

I was wondering.....Has anyone started planning on this challenge? I got together my things and posted the pic on my webshots. Now to find the time to get it done before the end of November!

Come on girls! (and guys?) Anyone else up for this one?

I'm just now getting a chance to plan this, but it's definately on my 'to do' list. I'm getting the kids to school tomorrow, coming home and scrapping. I should do laundry and some housework before DH flies home tomorrow evening, but it's not happening. (In fact, DH told me this evening on the phone to relax tomorrow.) I would scrap this weekend, but it'll be filled with getting ready for Fall Fest on Monday night. So tomorrow is my scrapping day! Now to figure out what I'm going to put in my kit! LOL

So what if I don't have an element in my stash? Do I buy it? Do I leave it out? I have no cord or hemp. Anyone want to donate me some?

Good question. I say do what you want to. (I know, lots of help, huh? LOL) Or maybe you can subsitute something else? Maybe double the amount of ribbon. Or substitute wire for the hemp or cord. JMO

I dont see why you couldn't substitute fiber or yarn for the cord or hemp.

I don't have any cord either Melissa. I think I'll just use another ribbon or some embroidery floss instead. Now I just need some pictures to put the kit together.

Okay. Just never had that happen in a challenge before. I guess I'm ready and need to photo my kit.
