anyone seen this sweater or the pattern in person? Folks, I want frank and honest opinions here. Some of us are thin and some of us are more full bodied, as it were! The model in this sweater is obviously a stick figure. I am not. Would this cut of sweater be flattering, or will it just look like I am too fat through the hips to have it close?

You asked for honesty.... I have no idea what your shape is, so this is not personally directed at you. However, I am a large woman (larger in the chest than the hips, mind you), and I would *not* wear this style of sweater. It *is* pretty, but because it doesn't hang straight down and instead flares out open at the bottom, I think it would draw attention to the hip area... and if you do happen to be large in the hip area, this will definitely make your hips look larger and also look like you just can't close the sweater rather than show off the fact that this is simply the style of the sweater.

I hope this helps. :o)

I think it depends on your shape, as well as your actual size. I suspect this garment would look best on someone who is a rectangle (that is, not too curvy), rather than someone who is a triangle (aka pear-shaped) or an inverted triangle (large chested).
