Calling Aud and other Nordic neighbours

I read that Norway is experiencing problems for very heavy rains, expecially near to Bergen. Old hurricane Maria hit Scandinavia tonight. It passed through cold waters, so it lost much of its power. It has been downgraded to storm, but it is posing problems to Norway coast and to Baltic Sea with very strong winds. Boat traffic beetween Helsinki and Tallin has been interrupted. Here we have only a nasty wind, but nearer to the coast (where I lived before) wind goes up to 25 m/s.



Aud, even if you are not so near to Bergen, are you OK? Pirjo? Johanna?

Hi Anna Maria, Yes, it has been very wet here. We are fine, but further south along the cost, the weather has been even worse.

damaged a house, and sveral persons were buried.One is dead, 14 seriously hurt.The rain hasn't stopped, but the storm which we expected, has not come yet.they say it will come here tomorrow, but not as hard as we thought.Hope the rain soon will stop!!AUD

Here the storm will reach the peak tonight, for tomorrow it will be gone.

Hope that it will stop very soon in Norway as well.

Anna Maria, There are many inexpensive plain tickets nowadays, so just come! But I would wait for the spring, if I was you! AUD ;-))
