He Rctyers !!! As some people reffered to the top of the hat and the possibility to leave a hole ,,,, On the Moebious hats i made the top is open , but folds over side ove side. Most hats i start from the top = i start with 4 stich, double them every 2nd round till it is about the upper circumference of your `crown` , than knit same amount of stiches downwards...
If you knit upwards, and have a few stiches left ,,,,, 1 take a thread on needle , go through top stiches , than pull and knot. 2 , sew up neatly , and or Adorn by adding a knitted icord , or a little crocheted cord, or some braided threads , into a neat knot. and let`s not forget the most traditional ponpon .
3 you might add beads , a little bell , an articicial flower , or even a small bag with a nice scented dry leave ...
4 you may even sew a bit colored button , or applique something on top . have fun create ,, mirjam
