LOL At one time, they wanted Keith to take a job a a telemarketer. Now, I love Keith dearly, but he definitely does not have a good telephone voice, and he is not a salesman at the best of times. When he didn't take it, they were quite angry. He explained that he would have to leave his home and his family in order to take this job, and they were better about it.
I'll be praying for you, Gem. That is what our tax dollars should be going for, not for buying new furniture for the PM's office.

Not to mention the stress that goes with it. The adjudicator "wondered" why I had left my training at the Call Centre.... One word... STRESS!!! I got pains in my chest and ended up going to the hospital twice within one week, and my health is more important than any job... so I quit the job. The training alone was horrible with information overload. Even though I can manage to make my way around email, newsgroups and search engines (I never mentioned the search engines... she really would have jumped on me about that one.), and I *used to* have a chat channel a few years ago (I didn't mention that either... it is N/A now, as I have forgotten how to even go about getting back on IRC anyway. Even if I did figure it out again, I simply cannot sit at the computer for longer than 20 to 30 minutes or so at a time before my back gives out and I need to lay on the sofa for a while.), for the most part I still consider myself to be Computer Illiterate and feel very intimidated and anxious trying to figure it all out. Most of the time in the training for the Call Centre, I absolutely could not "get" what they were talking about on how to do or find whatever they were asking for. Matthew was even sitting at the computer beside me and tried walking me through it about 15 times and it *still* would not sink in. I ended up feeling *really* stupid, and I know inside that I'm really not a stupid person... but that's how computer work makes me feel. :o(
Thank you, Katherine! I need all the prayers and good vibes I can get with this. I really hope when the lawyers request a review of the decision, that we luck out and get a nicer person reading through it all and that person reverses the decision.
