Good night Mirjam. I have just come upstairs to log on for the last time before I go to bed.

Just set my alarm for 6am so I may get a shower and wash my hair before breakfast and then off to my computer class. I am learning "Spreadsheets" only Charts and graphs to do then I have done all the 10 modules and get my big certificate. Shirley

As the sailors would say (my paternal Grandfather told my Mom this one).... Red in the night, sailor's delight. (It will be a nice day the next day) Red in the morning, sailor's take warning. (There is a storm on the way)

I hope you did have a beautiful day though, Mirjam! :o)

We woke up to slushy snow on the ground, and a light mist/fog in the air. We *heard* from a few people (and on the radio too) that we were supposed to get freezing rain this afternoon and tonight. I haven't been outside since I came home, but I hope it waits until after Matthew is home from work tonight before turning to freezing rain.

Just to add to my own message...

Last night I was laying on the sofa watching TV with Casper at the other end by my feet. He didn't stay there long (no, not because my feet smell) though, and was right up beside me in a heartbeat when there was a BRIGHT flash of lightning that was so strong it looked like it was two feet in front of my eyes even though all the drapes were closed.... followed within a couple of minutes by the LOUDEST booming thunder that shook the entire house. Not only was it loud, but it was long and drawn out, and it seemed to circle the entire town. I spoke to an acquaintance at the Post Office this morning and she said the same thing about how the thunder seemed to go right around the town before it finally stopped. It was VERY weird!

Woke up this morning to bitterly cold winds (it had been very mild yesterday, even though there had been talk of freezing rain), and everything that had been wet was now frozen solid. The dogs didn't stay out very long this morning at all. On the way to the city there were so many fields flooded and frozen over from the rain last night and the temperature drop overnight. The sun is out now, but it's still very cold and cloudy. Don't know what the weather has in store for us, but it sure keeps people on their toes.

Matthew said this morning on the way to the city "Okay... first it was dark and cloudy and snowing, then the sun came out even though it was still snowing, now it's getting dark again and up ahead I see the sun shining on the fields. Mother Nature must be having PMS or something." ROTFL I have to admit, it did seem like it. ;o)
