Hi Mirjam,

Hope you are doing well,

Hi Mirjam Are you feeling lonely?

It's been a busy day here in Manitoba. It was hot and windy during the day, and now it looks like a thunder storm is blowing in.

I've managed to finish a couple of projects this month - a pair of socks for DH in a funny green I call "pond scum" after seeing this description in Wendy Knits blog. ;>) I've made another felted/fulled bag called the "balloon bag". This is because you blow up a balloon inside the bag so the bag keeps its shape while drying. I've taken a "before" and "after" pic of it. Once I've uploaded the pics to my photo album, I'll post a link.

I've officially begun my Christmas knitting. I shopped my stash for yarn for scarves for my sister and her husband, and came up with some good stuff. I'm planning on a couple of pairs of socks for my daughter since she's always bugging me to make some for her. I still have a lot of great sock yarn left, so just have to decide on what to use.

I hope you're having a good week!

I am here, Mirjam. We had an episode here tonight, with guns and policemen. It was no fun at all. There is blood on our doorstep, but nobody is dead. I don't know if that will make the news tonight or not, since there are more "important" things happening. But I was glad that I am living on the second story, with a well-locked door, and security guards. It was actually the guards who called the police, and within seconds therer were dozens of policemen here, plus an ambulance. I don't need this kind of excitement!

DEAR Katherine I am with you ,, i am sorry tried to answer twice but couldn`t ,,, Alas i am too well aquianted with shootings ,,,,too close to me . Was it your first time to be near such an event ? My dear Friend ALL guns are HORRID , all shootings shock you to the most basic survival instinct . Allow yourself to think about it, allow yourself to be happy it didn`t touch you or your`s , Try and ask the police to give you as much deatils as yoiu can. And Als , but you have to do it after knowing the details, try and make yourself safer , by learning what went wrong , you might make yourself feel safer , find out what YOU can do Can Controll , to avoid another event.

I am sending you a GREAT HUG mirjam

I have been away for a while Mirjam, can read you fine.

I went to the Doc and he said my EKG was a little funny so I had to do a stress test to check the old ticker out. I have not heard back from them yet.

I can't do the treadmill so they inject you with some nuclear stuff, speeds up your heart while your sitting there. I don't like it. I told Gail I won't do another heart surgery again. She got a little mad at me but did not say a lot. It's going to be good anyway. ;)

I am tickled to see you have had a time for peace for a while.

Hugs & God bless, Dennis & Gail

Mirjam is right! I am at another planet! Another than I use to be...

I have lived here, at the West coast of Norway for 33 years now. And it is the first time we still have summer in September! We have had Indian summers, and may be I should call it so. But this time we have had MORE summer than rain and Chilly weather.

I have lost my head completely! I am NOT available! LOL! Not to this world! I haven't done anything in my house for a long time. The sun shines! I go with my boat, out in the fiord, out to the open sea, we are bathing (still 15-16*C/59-60*F), take our dinner (which is not so much of a dinner these days..)out to an island, reading in the sun, only the sounds from the sea and from birds, and an occational boat. small islands in our fiord:

weather has been so nice that *I*, who loves fishing, have not tried to catch any fish for several weeks! I just preted that the summer last for ever!

Tomorrow I am back in the normal world, I think; the forcast says the warm weather is over! Not very strange, but we are never satisfied...!!

The days seems so peaceful in our corner of the world, and I am afraid to NOT appreciate that!! Aud :-)

Hi Dennis,

Sending prayers out that your EKG will turn up nothing. From what I hear heart surgery is nothing like it used to be. My brother who had a five bypass says it's a piece of cake and if he thinks so, it must be.

Hugs,

Nora

Thanks for the prayers Nora.

I am still wary about the heart surgery. I have a bad calcium build up problem on the heart. It makes it almost impossible to do a normal bypass.

Yes if it is normal it is a lot easier. If you have complications like I do they have to do the cabbage.

Hope all is fine with you and family.

Hugs & God bless, Dennis & Gail
