I worked on my second bowl

. . .(or at least finished it) when I was at my vernissage last week. I felt like Mirjam, sitting there with my handwork in between visitors. :-) I find it very soothing to crochet and that helped calm my nervousness. Several people commented things like "oh, you are already making new items!"

This was a nice response since, when I work on my crochet projects at my friend's apartment, he gets kind of twitchy. Every Fri. Harri and I go to dinner with this friend and then, when we sit and talk and watch tv, I work on some type of handwork. I was doing embroidery but Ivan thought I was going to poke holes in his fake leather sofa, so I switched to crochet. Anyway, I am ready to felt the bowl the next time I do some hot-water laundry, probably tomorrow.

if I'm writing a bit like I am feeble-minded; I am NOT a morningperson and only have half a mug of Darjeeling in me so far today!!!

Yes, I have joked to Harri that one Friday I'll go to Ivan's and brandish one of my gigantic uphostery needles that are so large they remind me of when I used to fence! Of course, I am NOT an uncouth person who goes into other people's homes and pokes holes in their belongings! :-)

Fencing as in "En garde!" and "Have at ye, ye villian!" and D'artagnon (sp?) and his fellow musketeers. I have an upholstery needle that I swear is nearly as huge as the fencing foils I used!!! (ok, maybe not quite so big. . .)

:-)
