Knitting and Crocheting for Charity

X-No-Archive:yes

Many of us in this group use our creative talents not only for ourselves and our families, but for charity. We donate our crafts to our churches, synagogues, schools, shelters service organizations and hospitals etc. because it fills a need for those not as fortunate as we and because we want to help by sharing the various types of handiwork that we do and the gifts we have to create them.

I am currently making children's afghans for Project Linus and as I work the yarn I think about where the afghan is going and hope that the child who gets it, and the warmth it provides, will feel the love that goes into it. I'm sure that we all feel the same way.

The women in this group, who work with their hands to give solace to others are doing the work of angels on this earth.

Hugs to all Joan
