For all of you spinners and such out there....
Can you share a good source for lambswool?? My mother is looking for some to put in the toes of her shoes (very small feet and shoes don't fit well). I ordered some off of a ballet shoe supply website, but it was about $4 for one ounce. Don't know if this is a good price or if I can buy it in greater quantities (I also use it to stuff needlerolls).

$4/oz is a bit steep, but $2-3/oz isn't out of line for processed spinning fiber of good grade. Try

If you can't locate someone who will give you a bit of the fleece that isn't good for spinning anyway, maybe some natural Lopi would work. It's essentially unspun (just made into roving) and could be fluffed into whatever shape is needed. Compare the price per ounce to see whether you're better off with the ballet stuff. (Or find a sheep farm that has barbed wire and do a little woolgathering from the fence.)
