Latest handspun

Hi y'all. Here's a photo of a hank of handspun I finished on Monday. It is a 3-ply yarn: two plies of space-dyed superwash merino, one ply of black merino/silk for strength and to make the stuff go farther. I ended up with just shy of 500yd of yarn, now I have to decide if I want to make a skinny scarf and cap set or a pair of socks.

Maybe not. A friend dyed that for me as an Xmas present. There *is* some purple in it but not much, and the yellow is a bit in-my-face. Overall I'm please with it though, and it does me good to work outside my comfort zone occasionally :D

Very nice. Great minds think alike: I just finished plying some handpainted merino with some black alpaca for a similar dramatic effect. Mine's a different colourway but still has a similar visual punch.

I hope you enjoy the yarn Wooly, I would.

You're right. It sholdn't be hidden even slightly.

I am always very impressed when I see hand spun yarn, but this is also exact coloures I could have chosen myself!! Beautiful! And the yarn looks so nice and even spun! Congratulation! AUD ;-)

Then Wooly, you have one more on the list ;) Aud :-)

Beautiful yarn. It's not my first pick for color but it should looked beautiful worked up. I think it would make a knock out scarf. Bev
