Does anyone have a basic beginner's pattern for a Magic Scarf that looks like this?
Send me your email address and I will send you the URL for it...

There's a URL for the magic scarf pattern?!?!?!? I went searching yesterday and came up with a couple of things with the same name or *almost* the same name, but they looked nothing like the picture that I saw from here yesterday. :o(
Peace! Gemini
I'm also interested in the pattern! I might try knitting again for that! Or, I saw one pattern that was done on a knitting loom (I have the Knifty Knitter set), so if there's a pattern out there meant for that, I'd be super interested!

Hi Ladies,
In the new Mary Maxim catalog that I received yesterday there is a three way scarf that looks like the magic scarf. They use Foxy yarn and it's on circular needles.
HTH,
Nora
Cool, Nora. I don't have my Mary Maxim catalog yet, but I'll keep watch for it.... not that the pattern will do me any good considering that it's done on circular needles. Oh well... it's nice to look at anyway. :o)
Peace! Gemini
Hi Gemini,
Same with me, if it's not done on straight needles forget it. That is one reason that I don't do socks, don't like circular or dpn needles. In fact the spiral sock pattern on Sue's website is for both as I told her I used only two needles so she did the pattern so I could do a pair.
Hugs,
Nora
Cool, Nora! Is the pattern for straight needle socks on her website too? If so, could you please post the URL again?
It's a shame that someone doesn't have a straight needle pattern for the magic scarf too.
Peace! Gemini
Hi Gemini,
I just sent it to you. I know what you mean, maybe one of the clever ladies here could figure it out for us that don't use circular needles.
Hugs,
Nora
Hi, My email is snipped-for-privacy@gmail.com Please send me the URL. Thank You
Hi Nora,
Email? I got two from you today... but didn't see anything about the magic scarf. :o/
Peace! Gemini
Hi Gem,
No, it was the URL for the spiral socks I sent you, not the magic scarf. I wish someone would do a pattern on straight needles for us.
Hugs,
Nora
Me too!! *hint* *hint* Any wise creative people out there willing to give it a shot? :o)
Peace! Gem

I've been wondering about this for some days. What is a magic scarf?? Please! Sofia D
Sofia, if you go to these website and click on one of the pictures it will show you the many ways a magic scarf can be worn.
PS. Here are three more websites, with patterns.... not sure if they are actually the same thing or not though. And Nora.... the last two say that they use two needles. *shrug*

Aww, that's a shame! :o/ I likely won't describe it properly, but I'll try. The magic scarf looks long and lacy, but when you stretch or pull it a different way it can be worn as a shawl, or cowl, or hood. I hope that helped a little. Maybe someone else can describe it better for you.
Peace! Gemini

I understood perfectly. I can see it in it's scarf "form" being very fluffy and stretchy. Somehow the image of a "shopping net" came to mind :-) Remember those? They where so small they looked like a hair net but, boy, did they stretch. Sofia D
There's a solution. Right click your mouse on the link and there should be a menu window popup. Choose copy link or copy shortcut and then go to your browser and paste it in where website addresses are displayed. That should get you to them.
