Nora,

I finally caught up on all my squares for the other secret projects but I haven't blocked them yet so I could add a few more to the package I'm sending you. So, definitely let me know!

Thanks, LauraJ

Greetings! I'm a new comer to this list. I live in Michigan near Detroit, and have been enjoying your communiqués for the past two days.

I crochet, badly, but would like to improve. My grandmother taught me how to make granny squares about 30 years ago; I haven't gone much further than that. And I received one lesson on tatting and promptly forgot what I'd been taught. Also I'd like to learn to knit.

Meanwhile, I'd just like to be able to join in your lively fellowship, but I can't figure out how to post to the list.

Can you instruct me?

Also, I'd love to hear about your secret project! Donna Jo

Hi Donna Jo! Welcome to the friendliest newsgroup on the internet! :o)

Some people are better at instructing people with the "how-tos".... I'm more of a "where to find things" (like URLs for patterns, most times). So no matter what you ask, someone is bound to have an answer for you. And if you just want to chat about whatever is happening in your life, this is the place to do it too. We are like one big caring family / friends who meet here to talk about whatever is on our minds. :o)

Peace! Gemini

Thank you for the welcome, Gemini!

I have to say, I am very excited to join you, largely because your love for each other is so apparent! Anyone can teach, but it takes big hearts to love like you folks do. I look forward to learning from all of you.

I *think* she means posting her own thread, rather than replying to an existing. . . JM2C, Noreen

Hi Donna Jo,

Welcome to our group. It's nice to have you here. Just about the only thing that I can crochet are Granny Squares. I tried to crochet a washcloth using Nora's pattern, and although it came out, I'm going to stick to knitting as much as possible. My grandmother taught me to knit; my mother taught me to crochet. I wonder if that says or means anything. LOL

I live in upstate NY, although my DD#2 (Dear Daughter, if you don't know the initials) was in Detroit on Sunday. She was flying back to Chicago and had to change planes in Detroit.

In the meantime, to send your own posting, you have to click "new message" and put a subject header. But, if you can't figure that out yet, just piggy back onto other messages as you have done here.

Hope to see you frequently.

What a sweet thing to say, DJ. It is very true though that we do love and care about each other, and we're always happy to welcome a new member to our family. :o)

Peace! Gemini

- I don't know how long you've been reading before you spoke up yesterday... but you should know that we can get a *little* {ahem} silly at times too. Just a heads-up! LOL

Hi Donna Jo,

See, it wasn't so hard to figure out how to post to the group. I see you did it. Good, now you can come back and chat with us anytime you want and if you have questions, ask away.

Hugs,

Nora

Actually, she's only replying to posts already here, I don't think she knows how to post a thread of her own, although Janise attempted to help. JM2C, Noreen

Hi DJ,

I've just been to RCTY and see you know how to reply to a message, it's just as easy to send a new one. If you are on google, up at the top of the page is a place that says, something like start a new topic. Click on that and put in your subject and away you go.

Hugs,

Nora

Nora? You have a new email address? I saw a post from redorangepoppy earlier and for some reason didn't associate it with you. LOL

Peace! Gem
