Dear Nora, Noreen, Donna, Rusty and Dusty, Katherine, Liz, Aud, Trish, Gem, Karen, and Olwyn Mary,

Thank you for my birthday greetings. It's been a pretty laid back day. My parents called at 9:34 am, the time I was born, as they do every year. I got out of bed around 10 and read the paper and then got a little caught up online. DD#1 was driving in from Boston, so every hour or so, she would call. In the meantime, I woke up DD#2 and told her that if she wanted her clothing washed before she went back to school tomorrow, she had better bring it to me. So, I have done laundry (which I really don't mind at all) and some mending (even that wasn't bad.) We went out to a nice dinner at

7pm (where I got a delicious, free Chocolate Torte). I have just hand washed 2 sweaters for DD#2 and they are drying, although they probably won't be dry before she leaves tomorrow and I am just about all done with the laundry (only 1 load to finish drying and fold).

So, that's my day in a nutshell. I hope you all had good days as well.

Sounds relaxed, despite the laundry.

I actually enjoy doing laundry (a lot more when my own machines were working and I didn't have to go to the laundromat)! I know... I'm weird. ;o)

No, you're NOT, Gem. I'm the weird one, as I LOVE to IRON! I always said that if we ever have another 'great depression' ala the nineteen thirties, I could still make a living ironing for others... LOL Noreen oh! and I don't mind laundry either, but I seem to have a problem with putting it AWAY! If it were up to ME, things would stay in the basket till hell freezes over, Don always asks why I even HAVE 'dressers', and he puts it away. Same with dishes, he wonders why we even have cabinets, as if it were up to ME we'd just live out of the drainboard! LOL

I am not crazy about folding it.
