While that is a nice thought that you could earn a living ironing if necessary... I hope we don't have another 'Great Depression'. I can't catch up with things now... and that's only because of Matthew being out of work for a few months. I am expecting bill collectors to come pounding on the doors soon... and if we can't get the property taxes caught up on, they will likely send the bill to the mortgage company... who, although have been very understanding, may decided that enough is enough and foreclose on the house... then we'll be out in the streets. :o( Yeah, can we tell that my New Year started off with me worrying myself sick *still* over unpaid bills?

I have to set about today to try to write some letters to people we owe money to, asking them to please be a bit more patient with us so we can try to catch up by mid-February (I *hope*).

Some of these so-called recessions have been darned close, at least in my time on this planet. I'll be keeping you and Matthew in my prayers, near the top of the 'financial concerns' list! Hugs, Noreen

I read about a woman who had no wardrobes or other cupboards in her bedroom, instead she had two sofas/couches where she kwpt all her clothes out on view.

FWIW, I like laundry as well, up to the point where you fold it. Luckily DH seems to like ironing: he irons his own shirts.

Dear Carol, Marie, and Darlene,

Thank you for your birthday wishes. I did have a very nice birthday. Yesterday (1/2) was a little crazy or I would have thanked you then.

Dear Norma, Cher, and Mirjam,

Thank you for your birthday wishes. I have been busy these past few days with DD#1, after DD#2 went back to college. It is a nice change of pace. (I have even gotten DD#1 started on something aside from the "ugly scarf" as she calls it. She started a hat for herself. After knitting 2 rows, she was bored. I told her to do 1 row of purl to make it more interesting. LOL)

Wishing you a wonderful year to come.

I have a simple arrangement with DH about ironing - since he wouldn't bother to iron it for himself I won't bother to iron it! He can (and occasionally does) do ironing but really only shirts for interviews, weddings, funerals etc or the shirt that goes with his dinner jacket for concerts.
