Yes - Happy Chanukah! Do you make latkes during the holiday? I had some last year at a friend's house. They were hot and good right off her stove with homemade applesauce. Yum.

I've only just had time to check in, so I expect the first day of your celebration is over already Mirjam, I hope it was a joyful occasion and that all is well with you. Enjoy the rest of your festive season and may peace and prosperity be with you and all yours Love & higs Christine

Thank you Liz , we are very lucky we have 8 days of Hanukka ,, every night we light 1 more candle ,, till the whole Hanukia [ a special candlestick with nine branches] is lit. And everyday we `have` to eat Latkes, Donoughts etc,,,,, :>:>:>:> mirjam

Mirjam, Do you really eat latkes every day? We went to a Chanukah party last night and I think the 1 night of latkes will probably be "it" for me...that is, unless my family insists. LOL Hag Sameach.

Thank you, Liz. Tonight we lit the 2nd night's candles. It's quite different not having young children (or even older children) around. Just DH and me. Peaceful, though. LOL
