Happy birthday, Ophelia. I hope you are having a splendid day. If you were here, you could out and play in our fresh snow. :-)

Hello Dennis and Gail, I received this by mistake ( I checked to see if it went to the group an intended, and since it did ,I did not pass it on)

I do not care if it was a mistake because it is nice to hear form you both any time - I just hope you are both keeping well and you are obviously enjoying your knitting as I see on the group from time to time.

I agree that is it fun to do a jumper from scratch without a patter as I do that all the time these days - I do not chart it out very much though - I just go along with the flow having carefully checked the stitches and rows needed for the size etc. Sometimes I see a stitch pattern that I have not done and use it

I have just finished a jumper for DD #2 - as she is the only one I knit for these days, since she lives in the cold of Melbourne, and for that I chose a kind of rib I saw in a book which was an interesting pattern

Bye God Bless Gwen
