Hurricane Ophelia

Okay, so how is everyone from here who is in the path of Ophelia doing? Is anyone going to be in dire straights? I've already started praying that damage will be minor with no loss of life....

We're not anywhere near the path here in No Georgia -- just some heavy rain expected. Seems like ANY storm within about 500 miles of us causes heavy rain. I really, truly grew to hate living in Lizard Land but one of the few positives is the noticeable lack of extreme weather. Well, except for the days that it gets to 115+ degrees. The heat won't destroy your house or tear apart your family and if you stay in the shade and drink water, it won't even hurt you. MUCH easier to live with than hurricanes and tornadoes! Now, the heavy rains are wonderful IMNSHO, but then, I'm not having to deal with them at hurricane force! Sending "good stuff" to anyone in the storm's path -- yet again!!!! CiaoMeow >^;;^<

Pat, you're one of the ones I was worrying about. Glad to hear that it shouldn't be too serious in your area. I'll keep the good thoughts and prayers coming, though. :)

I'm in NC but too far inland for any damage. In fact, you'd think we had a high pressure system here today, bright blue sky. L
